Behind The Vision
Meet the Lumpkins
The Mental Note is the shared vision of John and Jessica Lumpkin, a husband-and-wife team of 17 years and proud parents of three daughters. Rooted in faith, family, creativity, and community, they are building a redemptive enterprise designed to renew culture, serve community, and promote human flourishing through creative restoration and meaningful sacrifice.
John Lumpkin | Artistic Vision
Artist, jazz educator, producer, and composer, John brings more than 20 years of experience in live jazz. As founder of the Jazz Discovery Series and JL Institute programs, he leads The Mental Note’s music, artist development, and educational experiences.
Jessica Lumpkin | Wellness & Community
A Licensed Mental Health Counselor and founder of Bloom Imperfectly and Imperfectly Perfect Counseling Services, Jessica brings more than a decade of experience in counseling and community wellness. She leads The Mental Note’s wellness experiences, partnerships, and community engagement.
